Drummer ITP is a valuable tool for drummers looking to improve their timing and become proficient players. The app provides a unique way to practice rudiment patterns using a drum practice pad, incorporating an intelligent listening feature that measures your performance against a metronome click and provides feedback scores. By tracking your progress, you can identify areas where you struggle to stay in time with different tempos and rudiment patterns.

It's important to note that Drummer ITP requires the use of wired headphones for zero latency analysis and measurements. Bluetooth headphones do not provide the necessary data exchange with zero latency.

The app is particularly helpful in identifying the crucial tempos where you transition from wrist-action stick hits to faster speeds that require you to control the bounce of the drumsticks. Exploring your breaking points with various stick pad rudiments and practice exercises allows you to focus on the most challenging aspects of your personal stick technique, ultimately improving your overall drumming skills.

The main display of the app shows both the rolling click waveform and the microphone readings from your performance on the practice pad, making it easy to determine if you're playing ahead or behind the beat. An accuracy indicator displays how far ahead or behind each hit is in relation to the beat. Additionally, the app records ongoing measurements of accuracy and consistency, encouraging you to keep the timing indicator centered on the screen for optimal scores. The intelligent algorithm even checks for accurate hits during accented patterns and exercises with rests.

Drummer ITP offers two modes: Manual Mode and Rudiment Mode. In Manual Mode, the metronome functions like a standard one while also recording performance scores for evaluation. Rudiment Mode allows you to perform a rudiment test lasting 30, 60, 120, or 300 seconds, which serves as a benchmark for tracking your progress over time. The app can also be used solely as a high-precision standalone metronome, offering advanced settings for pitch, volume, and interval customization.

The app includes a comprehensive collection of 68 practice patterns and rudiment exercises, covering a range of timing exercises (quarters, eighths, sixteenths), triplet timing exercises, paradiddles (single, double, and triple), paradiddle-diddle patterns, rudimental drum rolls, and accented patterns. Additional features such as notation for all included rudiments and exercise patterns, a real-time left/right hand pattern indicator, an accent indicator with a moving notation counter, and tempo adjustment from 30 to 240 bpm enhance the learning experience.

Other notable features include beat time intervals customization (1 to 8), an optional beat one accent for practicing specific time signatures, a click designer for adjusting pitch, tonality, click duration, and volume, separate click designs for the main beat and interval sounds, a stick pad performance player to hear the desired sound, a high scores chart for completed rudiments and exercises, preset click sounds, microphone sensitivity adjustment, and an intelligent 'learn latency' feature to ensure 100% accurate analysis.
